The Comprehensive School Improvement Plan or CSIP (as it is affectionately known) is a five year plan designed to increase skills in three key areas: math, science, and reading. The plan also addresses technology in two ways: improving the district’s hardware and software and working on staff and student competency. For students to succeed, they need to feel safe, welcomed and comfortable in the school setting. The last goal focuses on insuring that students feel positive about the school environment.

These goals were developed by an examination of certain data. These included the ITBS/ITED scores along with other standardized test data. Graduation statistics, students’ post-secondary pursuits and daily school attendance were examined. Career and technical information were considered. The results of student, community and faculty surveys were analyzed.
