  • Now Offering Pre-K Program for 2019-2020

Pre-Kingergarten at West Branch is a unique opportunity for kids who are in many ways ready for Kindergarten, but for various reasons have needs that could be met with an extended learning experience.

What is Pre-K?
Pre-Kingergarten at West Branch is a unique opportunity for kids who are in many ways ready for Kindergarten, but for various reasons have needs that could be met with an extended learning experience.  The curriculum in Pre-K is similar to that of Kindergarten student, but in a smaller classroom environment and at a less accelerated pace.

The only eligibility requirement is that a student needs to be 5 on or before September 15, 2019.

The Pre-K program is full day and is state funded, so the minimal fees associated are the same as a child attending K-12 at West Branch.

Why West Branch Pre-K?
Our Pre-K students have the opportunity to ease into their formative educational years with a solid base provided by our program.  The students are in the same building as the K-4 students and are involved in many of the goals, celebrations and spirit activities of the elementary.  Participants have the opportunity to start Kindergarten with confidence, excitement and comfort with being a student.

When is the deadline to enroll?
If you live in the West Branch school district, please reach out to Elementary Principal Jess Burger (jburger@west-branch.k12.ia.us) for more information and to express your interest in the program.  The enrollment period is over the summer.

If you live outside the West Branch school district, there is an opportunity to open enroll.  That deadline is September 2, 2019.  Please contact Elementary Principal Jess Burger (jburger@west-branch.k12.ia.us) for more information or call the district office at 319-643-7213.
