HOOVER ELEMENTARY VIRTUAL CONTINUOUS LEARNING 2020-2021
-
Cohort groups of students will remain in place (A/B) even though there are no “onsite” days.
-
Live lessons will be provided via Zoom at consistent times for your student.
-
Work will be assigned to students on both A & B days.
-
The amount of instructional time (both live lessons and assigned work) will follow guidance from Grant Wood AEA on Continuous Virtual Learning.
-
Preschool: 20-40 minutes of total learning time a day
-
EK & K: 30-90 minutes of total learning time a day
-
1st & 2nd: 45-90 minutes of total learning time a day
-
3rd & 4th: 60-120 minutes of total learning time a day
-
-
Each classroom teacher has created a landing page that will house all the information you and your child would need during Virtual Continuous Learning. For Preschool-1st grade this will be on See Saw and for 2nd-4th grades it will be Google Classroom.
-
The classroom teacher will have 1:1/small group check-ins with your child a few times during a virtual continuous learning period.
-
Specially designed instruction (special education) and interventions will continue virtually for students that receive those in person. Live Zoom sessions will be used to provide both of those services.
-
Students are required to participate in virtual continuous learning when the district moves to this model.
